Guildburys Theatre Company presents: Anne Boleyn

Wednesday–Saturday, 11–14 July
Evening performances: 8pm
Saturday performances: 2pm & 8pm

Summer Picnic Theatre at Waverley Abbey House

Think you know about Anne Boleyn? Think again!

For the fifth year running, we are delighted to welcome community theatre group Guildburys to the grounds of Waverley Abbey House.

From the pen of Howard Brenton, arguably one of Britain’s greatest living playwrights, comes an altogether different look at the life of King Henry VIII’s most notorious wife. Anne may have had more of an impact on our present day lives than we ever appreciated. From her first meeting with the king to her untimely end, nothing is as simple as we are led to believe.

Moving effortlessly between comedy and tragedy, fear and hope, this glamorous and mesmerising production is the perfect accompaniment to a summer evening picnic in the stunning setting of Waverley Abbey House.

Delicious desserts are also available before the show – which one will you choose?

Performances will be running from 11–14 July 2018. Click here to book tickets.
